I hope to celebrate my Big Win last night with you. I just won a merit award from the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Singapore’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World Singapore. This award serves to recognize people under 40 years of age who have demonstrated significant service and impact to society. Previous well known people who have won such awards were Dr. Fatimah Binte Abdul Lateef, Lee Hsien Loong, Nelson Rockefeller, John F. Kennedy, Henry Kissinger, Gerald Ford, Benigno Aquino, Bill Clinton and many, many more. I was not the overall winner for the business category, but qualified as a finalist and therefore was given a merit award.

There were over 100+ nominees in the 10 categories and we had to go through an intense interview panel who really grilled us on our impact and service to society. I have never been out on a such a hot seat before and literally had a hard time answering tough and sensitive questions.

On a personal note, after six years of hard work, training or speaking to 7,200 over people across 8 countries, I feel that this award comes at a right time as I celebrate how I have grown in my own personal capacity as a speaker, trainer and also influence the business world in the areas of motivation and team performance. I am grateful for the readers of my blog and the participants who have attended our programs at Deep Impact. We exist totally for you and I am thankful for your partnership. I am also grateful for God who has turned me from a nobody to become a somebody.

Let’s all be conscious individuals who are driven by purpose and passion!

To your success!
